The Picture of Dorian Gray

From reading the Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde I have noticed certain differences between the style of the novel when comparing it to Wuthering Heights. The Picture of Dorian Gray seems to focus very much on the ideals of beauty and youth, whereas Wuthering Heights is very much about the idea of love. Both books touch on the ideas of the restriction of social position and how the way society thinks and its ideals can shape people and ruin them.
The Picture of Dorian Gray is narrated more through dialogue than Wuthering Heights which narrates a great deal through description and emotive writing. Wuthering Heights also includes many references to nature in its descriptive passages, the Picture of Dorian Gray commonly references to people and their features in its descriptive passages.
